Our lively and inclusive space is open and available to all! Our goal is for anyone in the community to have access to a range of services and activities to promote wellbeing and inclusivity. We want the centre to be known by all, used by most and frequented by many.

If you have ever stepped inside The Green Community Centre you know about all the great stuff that goes on here!

We run free/by-donation fun activities, fitness classes and workshops for children and adults, family events, parent support groups, film screenings, fun days & craft fairs.

Our community café serves the best coffee and we host activities such as dance classes, an Alzheimer Support group, all types of parties, big lunches, art fairs, clothes swaps and Nunhead’s first Repair Cafe!

As well as being open every day as a safe and welcoming space for the community.

WHO MANAGES AND RUNS THE GREEN?

The centre was set up and is managed by Nunhead’s Voice; a charity and local community group for the people of Nunhead.  This group of volunteers works to bring people together from across the community, organise and promote community events, help source funding for community activities, and let people know what’s going on locally.

At a practical level, Nunhead’s Voice came together to help set up and run the centre. We rely on our staff and volunteers, who bring a range of skills and loads of enthusiasm to the project. We’re always happy to welcome new people to the team and there is a range of activities that need volunteer help. See our Get Involved page for more details on how you can lend your time, skills and expertise towards the running of the centre.
